Investing - Theory, News & General • Are the Boglehead books timeless in their recommendations

TLDR - do the Boglehead associated/published books still stand the test of time? In some cases books are a decade to 15 yrs old so wondering if they still offer the most current wisdom

Just started reading books related to passive investing. Wrapped up "The Bogleheads Guide to the Three-Fund Portfolio" and "Millionaire Expat" and currently in the midst of "The Bogleheads Guide to the Retirement Planning". Have a dozen more books in the queue to follow this

The principles and rules espoused in these books (especially the ones written by the Boglehead forum experts) - have they stood the test of time?

Ex: the arguments in case of Active vs (broad-market) index investing, benefits of total market index funds etc - as per my understanding they hold well even today.

Are there any strategies that the forum experts (or the books) encouraged in past but distance themselves in recent times Or vice versa? If yes, which ones and why?

PS: of course changes in tax code could be one driver and I would love to know but better research/data informing renewed assessment is possibly more welcome
