For those of you in CH with US citizenship… Have you found a good vested benefits account (Freizugigkeitskonto) that allows self-directed low cost investments in direct shares or ETFs (not funds)? Ideally VT and chill…
The popular ones seem to use funds (PFIC problems). I’ve found a fintech startup that can do a basket of shares for up to 80% of the account, but TER close to 1.0%, still seems like a lot of headache to track basis, and their equal-weighting strategy (vs market-cap-weighting) doesn’t appeal to me.
I suppose I could use one of the usual near-zero interest fixed income options but far from ideal… I guess we’re a very small market…
