We have used humidifiers for years. Son suffers from nose bleeds if the air is too dry. Going several years back we were using them before we were able to pinpoint certain medical conditions in our kids that I won't discuss here. We have historically purchased the cool mist humidifiers from local pharmacy stores or grocers. We empty and clean them daily, and change the filters frequently. It solves the problem.
