I should add that this safe part would be best held in EUR or GBP, seeing as most of my equity (all world etf) is USD denominated already, giving me an already large USD currency risk.
You've not understood the difference between currency of reporting/ denomination vs currency of exposure. There is a wiki here about it (not sure what URL is).

I always jumble up these terms, but I do understand it! I meant currency of exposure - with my all world ETF, about 60% of is has USD exposure, if I understand it correctly.
