What’s your tax needs, sources of income, run a business, any unusual tax forms?

I find that most CPAs (myself included) move more towards providing services to businesses and advisory work as opposed to filing individual tax returns on their own. Compounding the issue you have a shortage of new accountants and many small firm owners retiring with nobody to take over their practice.
Sole proprietorship (hence schedule C), dividend and investment income, stock sales. So not straightforward w-2. You bring up an interesting point - we were hoping to find a combination CPA and financial advisor. And chose the first CPA (with the unworkable SmartVault system) with that in mind. But I was unable to resolve the SV issues and couldn't use their services without it.

I do understand, however, that how hard it is these days for CPAs. The stress levels are insane.
