Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Re: I feel like I should try to fill the 22% tax bracket with something

After converting the last of our traditional IRAs this year we have around $6000 headroom left in the 22% federal tax bracket. My wife does not have access to her traditional 401k/TSP account funds until she retires next year. Next year we will just barely stick our nose into the 24% bracket. I am looking for something to fill the space in the 22% bracket this year, any ideas/advice?
Why not fill it with additional earnings? That's what I fill it with. Weird goal.

But I guess you could sell some taxable assets and realize $6K in short term gains if you want. That would help you to meet your weird financial goal.

You could also change your contributions from tax-deferred to Roth too I suppose. That would also fill up that bracket.
