Stocks are overvalued. So you sell them. Now the market tanks. How do you decide to get back in again? Do you catch falling knife? Do you wait until there is a turnaround. How do you know that in real time? In retrospect selling high and buying low seems ridiculously easy when you look at the chart

Simple example:- this week the market did not go up. Are you calling the top now?
Define 'sell them'.

Are you taking some profits?

Or closing your position entirely? You don't need to get 'back in the market' unless you completely closed all positions.
