Fuel cells are amazing technology. Hydrogen fuel cell cars, though. My neighbor has a Toyota Mirai. My Chevy Bolt, the most average member of the EV class, is a much nicer, more practical car that I can charge at home. My Bolt costs half as much (even before incentives), weighs less, has more interior space, and accelerates faster. There are two hydrogen fueling station, in our 3.4 million person metro area, where my neighbor can fill up his hydrogen tank, and one of them is down right now because they can't get any supply. What do you think of automotive companies leaning towards Hydrogen? That to me sounds like a winnerI am an admitted solar and electrification fanboy. That said, I think that the future is more and more electric needs in your life, so there’s only gain in having more control over your electricity production.
