I got an Ego self-propelled with a 7.5 Ah battery too and I have about the same lot size. I can sometimes finish the lawn on one charge but usually not. But it doesn’t bother me as I’m usually tired after an hour of mowing anyway and like to sit back while it recharges, then I can easily finish the job. My battery failed after one year and so I got a new one in-warranty for free. But the three-year warranty is now a two-year as they don’t renew the warranty, it just times out. And now I’ve only got one year left. From my invoice:
If you time things right, a set of two 7.5 Ah batteries may be bought for ~$630 when on sale. The place to shop at would be Acme Tools, which gives out occasional 10-15% discounts.
Assuming your lawn mower is new and is self-propelled, $400 is a really good price. I think we paid $550 back in 2019, and they go for $600 now.

Maybe it was a 7.5 I got with it.
Maybe I could do the entire lawn with it if it is dry and the grass is not high. But if it either not short or wet then that battery is going to run out before I finish. My property is 0.39 acres minus my house, driveway, large vegetable garden. But not level Slopes downward toward the street.
