I didn’t want to check the SSA Exempt boxes since I wasn’t sure what other problem that might cause. There were two workarounds. One was to leave the Distribution Type blank. The other was to change the Eligible Amount to 0. I changed the eligible amount to 0 for each distribution and efiled.Hi I have the same issue on the MI State Software page. I believe that they crossed the references for SSA Exempt income boxes. If you pick the boxes the results are correct as well and there is no form 4884 filled out to be included. DO NOT check these boxes however. The blank distribution type pick works!

NOTE: I did use chat box and phone call to HR Block. Both help center folks had no idea what to do. They said they would "attempt" to elevate the issue. Dont hold your breath.
Solution is:
Pick "blank type"
OR manually over-write and file manually. (can't efile if you over-wright)
My only fear is. What else is not correct on HR Block software?

I was able to reach someone on live chat. He recognized the error and was going to write it up. I didn’t want to wait for a new SW release (if it comes) so I used the workaround.
