Personal Consumer Issues • Re: Mini Split AC Remote Control Timer?

Okay what temperature do most people here set their AC then? By default, it seems to be between 22-26 or so. You can make it higher. When it was really cold earlier even after turning on for about 1 hour, it was 22. So have it on 25 then?

So if you are going to be out all day, it's better to just have it turned on 10 hours or longer with it being 25 degrees and energy saving... compared to if you had it on a timer and have it turn on for 1 hour and then turn off and on every 5 hours then? So the electricity cost is higher the 2nd way?

Well I don't have a very high electricity bill but you are saying just have it turned on all day then? Even having it turned on half the day would mean the electricity bill wouldn't be high because it is an inverter? Is this inverter different from most mini splits though? Other people said if you have your AC on 24/7, your electricity will be would several hundred dollars a month at least and these are people with a mini split. Not sure if they are inverters though.
