Roth is generally recommended for a situation where your taxes are currently lower than they will be after you retire--for example, young people starting out with small salaries and therefore low tax rates. I don't think that's true in your case. I very strongly suspect that you'd be best off maxing out your traditional 401K before you put any money into a Roth.A) Are you recommending I should put $23k in Trad 401k, and $17k in After-tax 401k? I put $40k in After-tax 401k because I thought that is the best way to save for retirement via the backdoor Roth IRA. My financial knowledge is limited, so I am open to feedback on how to allocate my money to my 401k accounts.
