Fidelity lets you save wire instructions. It’s never a bad idea to test a wire first. If you plan to send, say, a $100,000 wire, first send a test (eg, $1000). Once it confirms, you are good to go for future wires. This is how I send funds from Fidelity to my accounts at other institutions. None of my institutions (Fidelity or my banks) charge me inbound or outbound wire fees.
But why doesn't ACH work for your needs? or, why wire vs ACH?
