Other than cash and I-bonds, the fixed income in my asset allocation is limited to U.S. Treasury nominal bonds and TIPS - so I look for those in 529 plans as well.
New York (as you know) and Virginia offer TIPS, while Ohio and Tennessee have short term TIPS. All of these are Vanguard, I believe. Apparently the Nevada plan has recently dropped TIPS.
I have not been able to find long term Treasuries, but the Fidelity 529s (like New Hampshire, Massachusetts) do have an Intermediate Treasury fund option.
The Ohio plan also has an interesting bank option (Fifth Third) with CDs of varying terms - which in the past have often been quite competitive.
