Im running a two fund index fund 60/40. My whole retirement money is in this, would this by ok for a 73 year old. Or would a 40/60 portfolio be more appropriate of my age. I draw out 5% every year........ty
I am 79 years old and my asset allocation is 60/40,. I have a one-fund portfolio using Vanguard Balanced Index Fund (VBIAX). My retirement expenses are more than covered by my Social Security benefits and the required minimum distributions (RMDs) from my rollover IRA.

Asset allocation is a very personal decision, each investor must decide on an asset allocation based on their own individual ability, willingness and need to take risk.
