Most UL and VUL policies charge less than maximum COI rates, so this isn’t really helpful in understanding your policy.
In the message you copied from James Hunt, he made reference to an illustration year starting in 2025. So it sounds like you have an inforce illustration on your policy
If you do, could you please post a page from the illustration. It would be a page that shows, year by year for probably the next 20 years or so, the build forward of the policy cash value and other policy information.
I expect that that page will help us to determine how much you’re being charged for cost of insurance. There’s likely a separate column for cost of insurance on that page.
