I’m trying to figure out health insurance for a baby coming in November.

From what I’m seeing, health insurance premiums are around 1,200 a month and then your responsible for the first 15-20k so you are about 30k in health expenses before ever using insurance

I came across one of these health sharing plans , 5k deductible per incident and about 7k in premiums per year for a family of 3

I’m leaning towards using the health insurance plan and then going cash/self pay for all the other baby and wife routine visits

The risk is that the health sharing plan might go insolvent but hopefully doesn’t.

Let me know your thoughts.
