For me, the online asset transfer form became available one business day after opening the account. Several things weren't working quite right immediately after opening accounts at US Bank on Monday, but they all fixed themselves by Wednesday. I think it just takes an overnight cycle for everything to be fully open.This must have just changed. Yesterday when we tried that it just said the account was not eligible for online transfer, but it now it's apparently functions as you indicate.
When I'm in the brokerage page, I click Transfer in the top menu bar, then Asset Transfer - then it launches a series of web pages to complete about the assets to be transferred ending with an agreement page to click agree to for each joint owner and then click submit. No emailing or mailing required. I'll advise status as the process continues.
