I do not invest in bonds in order to possibly get a slightly better return with this bond fund or that other bond fund. My goal is safety. I do not see any reason to take inflation risk. I do not know if we are at higher risk of unexpected inflation or not. I use a short term and an intermediate term TIPS fund.
