My opinion/observation which may or may not be relevant to you.
As per engineers, it goes in tier
A) Tier 1 -> Fresh grad to some experience -> 60K to 80K
B) Tier 2 -> Experienced -> 80K to 120K
C) Tier 3 -> More experienced -> 120K to 180K
D) Exception -> "It depends". You could be as high as you can get depending on your expertise and you catch the right technology trend.
So, the raise has to do with whether you are jumping tier or raise within the tier.
