I was not impressed. It worked, kinda, but I expected more.
Despite what I read to look for Touchless TSA PreCheck there was no signage that indicated "touchless", just the old signs "TSA Precheck". I asked and was told that's the line. That pre-screener wanted a boarding pass that said "TSA Precheck", paper or phone, to admit me to the PreCheck agent line. So no touchless there.
The actual TSA agent still wanted a boarding pass, paper or phone; I used paper; DW used phone. No Real ID or other photo ID asked for, instead they checked my picture in the camera and cleared me through to the actual inspection. I could also have used Real ID instead.
The lines for the actual agent had Clear passengers waiting for the agents, plus it seemed like a Clear employee in each line to "push" them through before non-Clear people.
Still had to present a boarding pass, paper or phone, at the gate. No touchless there.
So the only difference I experienced was not having to present a Real ID document to the TSA agent. That was the only "touchless" part. For me, much more sizzle than steak.
Good TSA experience overall with short lines.
