With AGI of $94,050, your 2024 out-of-pocket ACA premium of $2k/month seems high. The 2024 IRS max contribution is 8.39% of ACA AGI which seems like it should limit your monthly out-of-pocket ACA premium to $658/mo (= $94,050 x 8.39% / 12). The 2025 IRS max contribution is 9.02%.
I'd seen hints about that limit but couldn't make sense of it. I can say that with my income set correctly in the WA health plan finder website (ACA for WA) that it gives me premiums at just below $2000 for a Silver plan. If I did Gold it would be closer to $2300. No hint about the 8.39% limit. I was waiting for the end of 2025 to find out what credits and limits would actually apply. Thanks for pointing this out, I'll do some more research.
