Thank you. Of note, we were told by our potential real estate agent that her fees are 2.5%, but that sellers almost always pay this fee for buyers. Is that possible? That sounds great, but counter to what I had been reading about new regulations.
If the seller is required to pay a buyer's agent fee of 2.5%, then they recover that fee by increasing the asking price of their property by 2.5% or more, the cost of which is passed back on to you, the buyer.
