Probably not.
They can just take the money from yearly profits and take it out of the yearly employee profit sharing plan along with, perhaps, other places where they plow the profits too.
The whole ownership thing is really just marketing.
I was thinking the fine was larger than it was. $100M with $10T AUM works out to 0.001%.

If it comes out of the Vanguard Group revenue, that’s about a 1.4% hit.
Insurance?
