I have never needed a cash advance, nor knew you could get one for free from a debit card.Credit cards charge fees for cash advances.I simply don't trust debit cards. I use credit for the benefits it offers and with the idea that if something goes wrong, the issuing provider gets to work figuring it out because its their money that is actually missing. YMMV.
