After reading Wiki can consider if think will be in lower than 24% bracket when having to take RMDs, then might benefit from traditional now to lower current taxable income, and then Roth conversions after retirement as a way to pay less than current tax rate on the contributions (if will drop into lower bracket for a period after retirement - usually before taking SS).
