Go through yours. Theirs has no reason to be helpful.Hi All,
I was rear-ended in a no-fault state (NJ) and I am getting/reading conflicting information as to if I am better off filing a claim through my insurance or wait till I get the insurance of the at fault driver and fill a claim against his insurance. I am awaiting the police report.
Indeed, do NOT interact with the "other insurance" at all.
They are definitely *not* on your side.
Only interact with your own insurer!
That's part of what you pay them for.
Let them guide you about any no-fault issues. Some of this will probably depend in part on whether your costs are above the no-fault limit or not.
