NoNoNo. Humboldt is really gloomy. It rains 8 days out of 7. The fog comes in at 4pm and won't burn off until 3pm. If you have closet doors, you have to leave an incandescent light burning to prevent Black Mold. Everyone smells of weed. The drivers are crazy when the roads are icy each winter. College professors wear wool socks under their Birkenstocks. Flights out of the county are wildly expensive and all the airlines leave as soon as their federal subsidies end. No one should move to Humboldt. Visit during the summer, leave your money, then go away.Try Humboldt county. I spent my undergrad years there, 95% of the world is a 5-20 mins away from a beach. Heck yeahNot muggy.
Mostly clear skies.
Not too hot during the day.
A bit chilly in the evening.
Some rain, but not too much.
Very limited snow.
etc.
Essentially, we want to live in a coastal California weather without the California price. Oh, ye, needs to be in the US. Which city is the closest? Will northern Arizona and New Mexico fit the bill?
