Thanks Elysium! I didn't think to type the employee name and was about to create a new employee since the employee selection said no employee existed. What a horrible UI.To create a contribution for the payroll you just processed, as I did for August, you need to select option to add a new contribution date, then select the date you want it deducted. I picked a date for next week, then you need to select a employee it should be applied to. It did not apply to the employee (self) automatically, and it also kept saying you have no employees. I found where to select employee to the contribution date you just added, it's not very intuitive, you have to search, then type in name, then it lets you pick.
My plan for now is finish the 2024 contributions by DCA every month. Then when 2025 arrives, assess whether to move to Schwab or wait for Fidelity to add a Roth 401k plan to their offering. By then all the transfer issues from the current Bogleheads should be ironed out or at least have some type of solution.
