I am quite-recently retired and am currently about one-third Vanguard Balanced Index Fund (VBIAX), one-third Vanguard Target Retirement Income Fund VTINX), and one-third Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund (VWIAX). It puts me in the 45-ish equity range.Hi Forum,
My husband (57) and I (55) are planning to retire in 5 years. Up until now, we've used a 60:40 asset allocation and have been comfortable weathering the storms and up and down markets with that. However, now that we're within 5 years of retirement, we've noticed that we've become uneasy with having 60% of our retirement savings in stocks. With that 5 year time horizon until retirement, how (if at all) should we adjust our asset allocation?
As always, many thanks!

Seems to check all the boxes for me. May simplify further and just go with half VBIAX and half VTINX.
Best.
