Do follow up on Celia's suggestion of using a Roth conversion ladder.
This will allow you to withdraw/convert at a low tax rate and have access to those converted funds (but not the interest that accrues) without penalty after 5 years. Using this approach will keep your tax rate relatively low and will reduce your future RMDs.
