Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Re: US Bank 4% Smartly Visa Credit Card

What is the SEC fee? Is this different from the 100 free trades you get?
When ETFs or Stocks are traded in the US, there is a SEC fee that's assessed that's currently $27.80 per million dollars, or about one cent per $360. That fee is usually passed onto the customer by the brokerage and deducted from the proceeds when selling.
interesting. not sure if I ever saw it itemized as a fee when I sell ETF's on my Schwab account. maybe I just never noticed it.
