Personal Investments • Re: is this considered timing the market??

I disagree with most of the responses and believe they're mostly knee-jerk reactions to an adviser being involved. If you had posted the same ideas without the adviser you would have had a completely different response. Just consider how many posts we've had lately saying how foolish it is to own a bond fund vs. a ladder - unless apparently the ladder is an adviser's idea, in which case it's needlessly complicated.

So it's important to differentiate between whether this is a Boglehead-compatible plan, which it clearly is, as opposed to whether it's something you should pay an adviser 1% to implement.
