I bought my router in 2018 as well (UniFi USG). It still works fine but I just ordered a new one a couple days ago. The main reason being that the USG is EOL and Ubiquiti stopped giving new updates for it last year. Also I work from home 100% and extended downtime is not something I can afford. So I'd rather proactively get a new one before it dies on me.
