Considering selling my house by owner - market is fairly strong where we live with limited inventory in our 300-400K price range. In no rush as we are moving across town and can swing buying new place without $ from old place.
With the new rules for commissions taking effect this week what is the best strategy to do a for sale by owner? What if we pay a discount service to list our home in MLS and state in listing: sales price includes no commission; any buyer’s agent’s commission is to be negotiated directly with their clients. Do you think that would work?
