The dream of travelling and seeing the world before you die in your retirement years has been tarnished by the fact that there are way too many people doing it. Even though we try to travel during shoulder seasons we always seem to run into large crowds every where we go. We were in Barcelona in late April/early May and there were so many people you could barely walk down the street. Every place seems to be like Disney World on a crowded day now. And just try to get into any of the major national parks in the U.S. without a reservation.
My wife and I love to travel but if we ever stop doing it, this will be the major reason.
