I had no idea there were UK and Australian versions. We tried a couple of episodes of the US version with Allan Cumming and decided not to watch more. Generally we had no idea of what was happening or the purpose other than there's prize money? We are binging the various Traitors shows. The UK is probably our favorite, in no small part because of the host, Claudia Winkleman, who deservedly won a BAFTA for her work. She is also a frequent guest on Would I Lie To You (WILTY), where her effervescence and dizzy persona make for fun. Available on YouTube and Other Britbox (or was it Acorn?).Just finished S1 of the UK version of The Traitors. We decided to watch it after the host recently was on The Graham Norton show and the entire couch was raving about it. I can honestly say its easily the most entertaining first season of a reality show I can recall seeing aside from S1 of Survivor. We ended up binging it in about three days and just started S2 (no spoilers please!). I know there's a US version and apparently a few other countries as well so we'll check them out once we're done with the UK one. It's on Peacock, which we got a deal for so decided to try the show out. Glad I did.
We have watched Australia version (sort of meh) and American (okay enough).
US version: Not recommended although we enjoy much (but not all) of Cumming's other work.
